DMCA – HeGoal

HeGoal (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), we have adopted the following policy concerning copyright infringement claims. Our designated agent for receipt of notices of claimed infringement can be reached at the contact details provided below.

1. Introduction and Our Role as a Link Aggregator

It is crucial to understand the nature of HeGoal’s service. HeGoal (Hegoal.live) is an online service that acts as a link aggregator. We do not host, upload, store, broadcast, or stream any video content, audio content, or files on our servers. The content that users access through our site is hosted solely by third-party websites and services not affiliated with HeGoal. Our role is limited to indexing and providing hyperlinks to content hosted on those third-party services. Therefore, any claims of copyright infringement must be directed to the appropriate third-party host. However, we will comply with the DMCA by removing access to infringing links from our website upon receipt of a valid takedown notice.

2. How to Submit a DMCA Takedown Notice

If you are a copyright owner or an agent thereof and believe that any content linked to on our website infringes upon your copyrights, you may submit a notification pursuant to the DMCA. To be effective, your notification must include all of the following information:

  • Your Full Legal Name: The physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
  • Identification of the Copyrighted Work: A clear and detailed description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed. If multiple copyrighted works are covered by a single notification, you may provide a representative list.
  • Identification of the Infringing Material: Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing and that is to be removed or access to which is to be disabled. This must include the exact URL(s) on Hegoal.live where the allegedly infringing links are located. Providing a list of specific, complete URLs is essential for us to process your request efficiently. Generalized statements about the entire site are not sufficient.
  • Your Contact Information: Information reasonably sufficient to permit us to contact you, such as an email address, telephone number, and a physical address.
  • Good Faith Statement: A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • Statement of Accuracy: A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.

3. DMCA Agent Contact Information and Response Time

All DMCA takedown notices should be sent to our designated Copyright Agent via email:

DMCA Agent Email: [email protected]

Please note that we will only respond to notices that substantially comply with the requirements above. We may request additional information before processing a notice. Upon receipt of a valid notice, we will endeavor to respond within 24-48 hours, which typically involves removing or disabling access to the disputed links. We may provide the user or content provider who originally provided the link with a copy of your notice.

4. Counter-Notice Procedure

If you believe that a link you provided was removed or access to it was disabled as a result of a mistake or misidentification, you may file a counter-notification with us. To be effective, a counter-notification must be a written communication provided to our DMCA Agent that includes substantially the following:

  • Your physical or electronic signature.
  • Identification of the material that has been removed or to which access has been disabled and the location (URL) where the material appeared before it was removed or disabled.
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification of the material to be removed or disabled.
  • Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of Federal District Court for the judicial district in which the address is located, or if your address is outside of the United States, for any judicial district in which HeGoal may be found, and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided notification under subsection (c)(1)(C) or an agent of such person.

Upon receipt of a valid counter-notification, we may forward it to the original complaining party. If we do not receive notice within 10 business days that the original complainant is seeking a court order to prevent further infringement of the material, we may, at our discretion, reinstate access to the material.

5. Repeat Infringer Policy

HeGoal respects the rights of copyright holders and expects its users to do the same. In accordance with the DMCA and other applicable laws, we have adopted a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances and at our sole discretion, the accounts of users who are deemed to be repeat infringers. This may include blocking access to our services from specific IP addresses associated with repeat infringing activity.

6. False Claims Warning

Please be aware that under Section 512(f) of the Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512(f)), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material or activity is infringing, or that material or activity was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, may be subject to liability for damages, including costs and attorneys’ fees. Submitting a false or bad-faith notice or counter-notification can have serious legal consequences.
